Privacy, Terms & Disclaimer

Everything about how Electrical Calcs works, how we handle your data, and the limits of the tools on this site — in plain language.

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These calculators are a guide — not a substitute for a licensed professional.

Every result is an estimate based on standard formulas and common code references. Electrical work is dangerous and regulated. Always confirm sizing, loads and code compliance with a licensed electrician, a qualified engineer, and your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) before doing any work.

Disclaimer

Informational use only

The calculators, tables and articles on electricalcalcs.online are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They are intended to help you plan, learn and double-check work — not to replace professional design, inspection or advice.

Accuracy of results

Results are calculated from widely used electrical formulas and reference values (including commonly cited National Electrical Code figures). Real installations depend on many factors we cannot see — actual conductor properties, temperature, bundling, continuous vs non-continuous loads, local amendments and the latest edition of the code adopted in your area. Because of this, we make no guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for your specific situation.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes professional engineering, electrical, safety or legal advice, and no professional relationship is created by using it. Before you buy materials or begin any electrical work, verify every figure with a licensed electrician or engineer and with the code and permits that apply where you live.

Assumption of risk

You use these tools at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Electrical Calcs and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or cost arising from the use of, or reliance on, this website or its calculators.

Privacy Policy

The short version

We keep data collection to a minimum. The calculators run entirely in your browser — the numbers you type are used to show a result on your screen and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Information we collect

We only receive personal information when you choose to give it to us — for example, when you fill in our contact form. That form may include your name, email address and message, which we use solely to read and reply to your enquiry.

Like most websites, our host and any analytics we use may automatically record standard technical information such as your browser type, device, approximate location and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site secure and understand which tools are most useful.

Cookies

We aim to use only what is necessary for the site to function and, where enabled, basic analytics to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the calculators will still work.

Third-party services

To run the site we rely on a few trusted providers, which may process limited data on our behalf: our web host, Google Fonts (for typography), content delivery networks (for scripts and styles), and a form-delivery service that forwards contact-form submissions to us. Each has its own privacy practices.

How we use and protect data

We use the information we receive only to operate and improve the site and to respond to you. We do not sell your personal data. We keep contact messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal information you have sent us. Just reach out through our contact page and we will help.

Children

This site is intended for a general and professional audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Electrical Calcs and its operator will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site or its calculators — including any decisions or work based on a result shown here.

Changes to these terms
